On September 3, 2009, the St. Agnes School Board held its first meeting of the 2009-2010 school year.  The Board is advisory only and it meets once each month to discuss topics relevant to our students’ education.  Each board member is involved in at least one committee and those committees attempt to meet at least once per month.

This first meeting was a combination of reviewing year-end information from last year and projecting goals for this year.  The members’ committee assignments were revisited and established.  A new committee on enrollment was established to review recent trends and foster goals and policies for retention and growth.

A new position is being created for a Development Director at St. Agnes to provide leadership and management of development, marketing and communication efforts for the School and Parish.

On September 14, the second Board meeting was held.  At this meeting various topics were discussed including a review of recent events including Back to School Night and Grandparents Day. Board members commented on these events in the hope of finding ways to improve them.

Each committee provided a status of its projects.  The newest committee--enrollment-- sparked discussion on ways to improve the familiarity of St Agnes with families of newly baptized babies in the parish; creating a bond between future students and the school.
