Geography!

Do you need a map of Australia for a class project? How about finding the population of Egypt or the annual rainfall in the Gobi Desert? The National Geographic Society has an interactive atlas for you. Over two million names and all sorts of great geographic information is waiting for you at the MapMachine.

The site is co-hosted by ESRI, a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software company. You can even learn how to use GIS yourself! And remember its always fun to surf the web with your parents. They just might learn something too!

Library!

Math, geography, science, sports, music, and art are some of the subjects taught at Saint Agnes School. However, it is the belief and love of Jesus Christ that draws us into a true community of learningLearning The Catholic Faith! and living God's Will. Religion classes, All School Masses, Altar Servers and Lectors, singing in the choir and visits with our Parish Priests help form our future moral character.  Help us celebrate God's love for all of us and our spiritual growth in the Catholic faith.

One of the best and safest places for kids to research in cyberspace is the American Library Association (ALA) web site. The ALA site has wonderful pages that both entertain and educate. You can check out the world's tallest buildings online or learn about the Japanese paper art of origami or even visit the stars through planetarium outposts. Below we have listed several Illinois sites contained on the ALA pages.  Happy Surfing! And remember its always fun to surf the web with your parents. They just might learn something too!
