Our parish, along with the rest of the diocese, will be entering this fall Year 2 of the “Why Catholic?” program. The focus for this year will be Book One of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, “The Creed.”
Our parish “Why Catholic?” small groups will begin the week of October 11 and run for six weeks. In September, parishioners who would like to participate but do not belong to a small discussion group will have an opportunity to sign up. Also, any persons who would like to serve as a facilitator for a small group, please contact the parish office (793-1330).
Finally, on Tuesday, September 1, from 6:30PM till 9:00PM. at Little Flower Parish in Springfield, there will be an evening of recollection open to all “Why Catholic?” participants as well as parishioners at large. The topic will be “Discovering God in the Ordinary,” to be presented by Sr. Kass Collins, S.F.C.C. Anyone wishing to attend, simply contact our parish office to sign up.
