Father Robert JallasCathedral of the Immaculate Conception

Dear Saint Agnes Parishioners,

By now, most parishioners know that Bishop Lucas has initiated a very special program to help address the needs of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception - the mother church of our diocese. This campaign is called Built on Faith, Renewed in Hope, and it seeks to raise a minimum of $7 million. The cathedral and major donors are expected to raise $2 million for the campaign and the parishes of the diocese have been asked to raise the remaining $5 million.Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

Active fundraising for the Built on Faith, Renewed in Hope Campaign will take place in our diocese over the next three months. EVERY parish in the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois has been asked to participate in this campaign. EVERY Catholic household in the diocese will be asked to consider a sacrificial gift to the campaign.

Each parish has been assigned a fair share goal. The goal at our parish is $216,927. Please note that this is not an assessment! I call on you all to join Bishop Lucas and myself in support of this historic effort. Please keep these initiatives in your prayers and when called upon, consider your participation in the Built on Faith, Renewed in Hope Campaign spiritually, seriously and sacrificially. More in the weeks ahead!

Sincerely in the Risen Lord
Fr. Bob
