STEWARDSHIP AND CHURCH SUPPORT
Stewardship is one mark of a follower of Christ. A steward understands that all gifts, from each breath of life to talents and treasures provided to us, come from God. The Steward recognizes the belief that there is a need to give those gifts back to God to carry out the Lord's wishes on earth.

Scripture tells us that the gifts we have received, we should give as gifts. Instead of giving to a need, a steward needs to give and feels joy in giving. The call to stewardship is a faith challenge. It invites us to go beyond what society expects and advance to what Jesus expects. A steward puts God first in the budgeting of time, talent and treasure.

Without each parishioner's participation in stewardship, the physical needs to our parish cannot be met. This principal is that each person with an income shows dependency upon God for everything He has given, by returning to God a portion of that income. We do this, not because God needs our returns, but because we need the giving of the returns.

CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA)
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process whereby adults enter the Catholic Christian way of life for the first time. The process may take over one year or longer, depending on each individual's needs.  The process is celebrated through various rites at the Sunday liturgies, and culminates with reception into the Church at the Easter Vigil. Catechetical sessions are held weekly.

MARRIAGE-DECLARATIONS OF NULLITY (ANNULMENTS)
A trained, experienced procurator/advocate for the diocesan Tribunal is available (by appointment) to assist parishioners who have questions and/or are interested in obtaining a declaration of nullity for a previous marriage. The procurator/advocate acts on the party's behalf in preparing the necessary documentation to ready a case for presentation to the Tribunal. There is no charge for this service.

Our parish affords many opportunities to participate in various ministries.  How often you will serve in a ministry will vary according to the number of parishioners who share their time and talent.

LITURGY

Lector - A rewarding opportunity to help proclaim the Word of God. All qualified men, women and young adults are invited to this position with the assistance of instruction sessions.

Choir Member - New choir members are always welcome.  Practice is 1 to 1-1½ hours weekly and ½ hour before Mass.

Instrumentalist - Participates with the choir during liturgy.

Song Leader - Directs and encourages congregation to sing throughout the liturgy.

Church Art and Environment - Volunteers are welcome to help with the planning and decorating the church for the various liturgical seasons.

Usher - Men and Women of the parish who assist parishioners and direct the collection process during weekend Masses.
