Dear St. Agnes Parent,

Well, the time has come to make plans for next year - the schedule, the expenses, and the way to pay for all the planned activities! Parents Club is looking again at what type of fundraising YOU all would like to be involved in. While the Parish Auction was a HUGE success, it was started as a parish-wide fundraiser and its funds are not meant to replace the parents club funding which the school and parish count on.

Traditionally, we have had a "fall fundraiser" involving the selling of products to friends and family. In recent years, families were given the opportunity to "buyout" of the fundraiser. Many families have taken advantage of this option.

We have added SCRIP gift cards and certificates as a fundraiser, and while this program has made several thousand dollars each of the past several years, it has not generated the type of money the fall fundraiser has AND we need to continue providing the activities funded by the Parents Club. However, as shown on the attached page, SCRIP does have the potential to generate far MORE than it currently does, perhaps even more than the current fall fundraiser if we COMMIT to use it monthly.

Some schools choose to ask parents for a donation at the beginning of the year in lieu of fundraising. However, the majority of those schools are not private schools also asking for our tuition payments at the beginning of the year. There are many other options out there for raising money (we kind of liked this year's chicken carryout and will be repeating it next year), but Parents Club still really needs at least one BIG fundraiser to generate the $40,000 or so in our budget.

Please take a few minutes to check out the SCRIP information, think about what fundraising activity YOU would feel most comfortable participating in, because frankly, fundraising is NOT going to go away! Please return the bottom of this form with your preference. This sheet is not meant to be a commitment or contract, but rather one item to help your Parents Club Board decide what type of fundraiser will work best for St. Agnes School at this time.
