Welcome To Reading Counts!

Saint Agnes School is proud to participate in Scholastic Reading Counts, a literature-based reading motivation and management program designed to get students eager to read and improve comprehension.

As a student reads a book, they are encouraged to take a 10 question, multiple choice quiz on the computer for that book. If they pass with a score of 80% or better, they receive the points from that book. Points are based on the level of the book. Each class has a goal of how many points each student should have by the end of the school year. Each student's cumulative points are kept in the computer for the entire school year and the students receive ribbons and treats throughout the year for reaching certain "point milestones."

Please look below for the option to view, print, or purchase the entire Reading Counts list. There are currently several thousand quizzes in our system.  Each book in our library that has a quiz has a yellow dot it's spine.
