Springfield - Saint Agnes
Parish, School Work Together To Build For Their Future
Saint Agnes School
is looking to the future to provide an environment so each
student can develop in all aspects, spiritually,
intellectually, morally and emotionally. As a Catholic
educational community, Saint Agnes is created, supported and
nurtured by the parish. This year our parish's Annual
Giving Campaign is intended to "Help Build Our Children's
Future!"
Under the
leadership and guidance of Sister M. Joan Sorge, OP,
principal and Father Bob Jallas, pastor, one goal of the
annual fund is to provide 30 laptop computers for classroom
use. This wireless mobile lab is an innovative
approach to learning which will allow total class computer
instruction in every classroom. The goal of the mobile
lab is to enable each classroom to have research and writing
capabilities.
A second goal of
the annual fund is to establish a preschool program for the
fall of the 2006 school year. The mission of Saint
Agnes' Preschool is as follows: Saint Agnes Preschool
will provide a first school experience in a faith-centered
environment that nurtures in each child a love for learning.
This development program will encourage the growth of each
child's God-given talents and abilities. The
curriculum will include social interaction, intellectual
stimulation, spiritual direction, physical development and
emotional growth. Saint Agnes Preschoolers will learn,
grow and develop in a warm and loving environment.
The annual fund
will be used to purchase curriculum materials and equipment
for a 3- and 4-year old educational program.
The dedication,
support and hard work of our principal, pastor, parents,
staff and volunteers are making the preschool and Mobile Lab
a reality. Through our God-given talents and
resources, Saint Agnes School is "Building A Future For Our
Children". |
